I’m all for quick and simple. With three young children in the house, I never really get the time to sit down and craft away to my heart’s content. So if I do end up with a couple of hours to myself, I want to be able to make a stack of cards and not come away with one – even if it is amazing!
So here is an idea for a really quick and easy baby card. All you need is card stock and a couple of punches. I could probably have made a template to follow, but to be honest, it’s so easy, I didn’t really feel the need to. It’s really a punch here and a snip there and ta-dah!
I used a Sale-a-bration heart stamp from a set called Banner Blast, the star on the boy’ s babygrow also came from that set. But don’t despair, I have a feeling we might be seeing some new stars and hearts in our new Annual catalogue 🙂
The ribbon I have used here is our Stretch Ruffle Trim. It is a fantastic elasticated ribbon that is very easy to stretch around any shape, looks great on rosettes, or the petticoat of a skirt, or as a layer to a card as I did here.
I didn’t add the extra piece around the neck of the boy version as I thought it was maybe too ‘girly’ but now on reflection, I’m not sure if perhaps it does need it after all, what do you think? Do leave me a comment and let me know what you think, it would be great to hear from you and know that you are seeing my posts.
Here’s what you will need to recreate the card:
