Very recently we celebrated our own Magical Day, you may have seen my last post with the card I made for our Birthday Girl. Today, I wanted to show you a card that I made together with my 5 year old daughter for her big sister. We used the absolutely gorgeous Spring Summer set, Magical Day, as what 10 year old girl doesn’t like Unicorns?!
I admit to having adhered everything straight for her. However, my 5 year old did the stamping, colouring and die-cutting and punching all by herself. She’s getting to be quite the proficient crafter. Here’s a closer look…
I absolutely adore the Myths and Magic Glimmer paper. My daughter is at the age where the colour pink is almost evil, so this Glimmer paper was the perfect alternative.
Tips and Tricks for my Magical Day Birthday Girl Card
- The clouds were edged in smoky slate to give a little extra dimension
- As the DSP design is quite busy, and the numbers very large, I used a Whisper White panel to keep the whole card easy on the eye
- To add further dimension, I raised a couple of the clouds and the Magical Day Unicorn on dimensionals
I’m pleased to report the card was a big hit. The maker was very proud to deliver it on the morning of her birthday!
