Team Meeting Swaps

By | September 21, 2014

Every 4-6 weeks, I organise a team meeting with the ladies on my team, we have a couple of make and takes and we make a couple of swaps so that we have samples on hand to show customers for those of us who are business demos or simply to provide some cardmaking inspiration and see different styles.  We usually have a lovely cheese board to nibble on and we were spoilt this time by some delicious chocolate Brownies from the lovely Caroline.

Joining Stampin’ Up has been a great decision for me and I know my team ladies feel the same way.  We all join for a great discount on quality papercrafting products but the reasons we stay are so much more than that.  If you have ever thought about getting a great discount on Stampin’ Up products, read more about it here, we would love to have you at the next meeting, either in person or virtually.

I will share some of the other swaps over the next week, but for the moment here is mine.

Stampin' Up Bright and Beautiful Glitter star-001

I used the Star mask and a sponge dauber with White Craft Ink to create the stars and while it was drying (as craft ink takes a little longer to dry), I sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds – a must for your Christmas makes! – over the top to create a sparkly background. I gave it a quick blast with the heat gun to set the glitter and dry it off a bit quicker.

The Star is Embossed with White on Whisper White card and then sponged with Night of Navy Ink concentrating most of the ink in the centre.

The Stars are also cut out with the Star Framelits which co-ordinate perfectly with the stars in the Bright and Beautiful stamp set.

Again, the greeting is from my stamp set of choice Good Greetings which is available free with a qualifying order until October 31st. Read about it here

I hope you like the card, do leave me a comment and let me know your throughts.

As always, here is a list of everything I used to make the card.

I wish I’d been there! That’s another great card – I especially love the sponging on the embossing, will have to try that. I’ll also have to get around to getting the masks. I’m not sure how you do it, EE, I thought I had a mass of SU! stuff, but you always manage to increase my wish list. 🙂
