Confetti and Balloons for GDP#021

By | February 3, 2016

I had a couple of free hours recently so tried a couple of challenges  – and this time I’ve hopped on over to The Global Design Project.

This week, it’s a colour challenge

GDP021

I was stumped for quite a whileas though I like these colours individually, I wouldn’t normally put them together but in the end I went for a pretty colourful Birthday card.

I’ve used the Confetti embossing folder and sponged over with Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. Initially, I was careful to keep the colours apart, but had a happy accident when I discovered that the mixed colour was similar to Wisteria Wonder. I then went back over and let the colours blend into each other as I quite liked the effect.

A bunch of balloons in the challenge colours tied together with some Melon Mambo ribbon completed my card. It’s probably a little brighter than my usual style, but it’s a fun party card and I’m quite pleased with it.

I hope you like it too, do leave a comment as I’d love to know your thoughts.

As always, here is everything used to make the card.

Thanks Jess, I was really pleased to discover that Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay sponged together made a shade not too dissimilar to Wisteria Wonder!
