How to create a vintage look for your Christmas cards

By | August 28, 2016

You may have seen our Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop in yesterday’s post in which I featured these projects.

SCBH August Father Chrustmas Traditional 2-001

I promised a very quick video, showing you how to achieve the vintage aged look for your Christmas cards which goes so well with this upcoming set, Father Christmas.

And without further ado, here is the video I promised. It is such a simple technique and all you really need is a sponge or a sponge dauber. For this technique, I prefer a sponge and I tend to cut my whole Stampoin[‘ Up sponges into 6 equal pieces. I then use the Decorative Label punch to punch out a piece of that colour and staple it to the sponge. I then know what ink is already on that sponge and I then have one all ready to go whenever I need one.

I hope you found the video useful and join me again soon. If you fancy a full day of crafting, why not join Caroline Thomas and I on our Crafty Escape to the Country on October 1st. Booking closes on September 1st, but we still have a couple of remaining places so do get in touch before the 5th. we have some very exciting projects planned – oh and great prizes too!
