Welcome to this month’s Enjoy the Little Things in Life Video Blog Hop. We are showcasing some of our favourite techniques or techniques that we’ve always wanted to try. My project this month uses a tool I rarely pick up and a technique I should use more because the effects are beautiful. So, this month, I am showcasing a Sponge Brayer Blending Technique video tutorial and I hope you find it useful.
The Sponge Brayer is a fabulous tool for blending inks. It comes with two handles and four different sponge heads so you can mix a variety of shades. The heads are also washable so you can change colours as and when you like.
I chose to go tone on tone with this project using Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz and a hint of Old Olive. As I see with the close-ups on these photos, I might need to go back to the opticians!! I didn’t notice all the specs of embossing powder when I made the project, so apologies for that!
I kind of ‘winged’ this project, if you will, so there are a couple of bloopers on the video – it is a little bit warts n’ all! But I hope you enjoy it and that you find the process easy to replicate.
Do hop on to the rest of the team where you are sure to find some fabulous inspiration as always.
As always here is the list of supplies I used on today’s project. Don’t forget a £45 purchase will earn you a free product from our Sale-a-bration catalogue (check out the catalogues in the right hand side toolbar). I will also send you a little gift if you use the Rainbow Rewards host code pictured below at check out. If your wish list is long, do consider joining my team of Aces and Diamonds – you can read more about our fabulous Sale-a-bration offer here.
Lovely card and great technique!
Thanks so much Gemma x
