Wonderful Romance Springtime Blooms for Stampin’ Creative

By | February 28, 2019

It’s the last Thursday of the month so time for hopping with the Stampin’ Creative Crew.  Our theme this month is Springtime which is so timely considering our recent warm UK weather.  I decided to create some Wonderful Romance Springtime Blooms in the colours of the suite – I do hope you like them.

You may well have arrived from Gina at Emerald Creations or this may well be your first stop on the hop, but either way you are very welcome here with Eimear Carvill at Stamp in Colour. I am a demonstrator based in the Cotswolds, just north of Swindon, and I’m delighted you stopped by with me this morning. I would also like to welcome the very lovely Barry and Jay from Mitosu Crafts who are our guest hoppers this morning – they are sure to wow you with their Spring time offerings,

So without further ado, here is today’s project.  This card was one of my Sunday morning projects at our recent WLCR Crafty Escape to the Country that I run with my fellow Stampin’ Creative crew member Caroline.  We offered a choice of making either a home decor project or cards – some of our speedier crafters were able to do both.  The elements used on the cards were also the elements on the home decor piece so it was easy for our attendees to make two of each.

Tips and Tricks for my Wonderful Romance Springtime Blooms

  • For this card we stamped the leaves from Wonderful Romance very lightly in Sahara Sand to make a very subtle background.
  • Speaking of Subtle – if you look closely my Whisper White background layer has also been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. This folder is a must have for everyone’s craft room.  It adds just enough without being overpowering.
  • I stamped on Shimmery White so I could use the blender pens to pick up colour. I am no expert at colouring, by any means,  but it is so relaxing to sit and colour with our blender pens, or our watercolour pencils, or even our Blends!!
  • Finally a double bow in Linen Thread and a few pearls was all that was needed to finish this card off.  You may wonder where the sentiment came from.  It is indeed from the same stamp set but I just isolated the words ‘You are the best’.
