Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop – Seeing Double with Praiseworthy Prose

By | October 17, 2019

Welcome to this month’s Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop where our theme is Seeing Double.  We are being inspired by this title to create whatever we see fit, whether that be a double page layout or, well, whatever we see fit! I can’t wait to see everyone’s interpretations. You may have arrived from Courtenay Heuston in Australia or this may well be your first stop, but either way, you are very welcome.  I took this month’s challenge quite literally and created a double page layout using the fabulous Praiseworthy Prose bundle.

I’ve had these photos printed for a while and this challenge was the perfect opportunity to put them into my album. I took colour inspiration from the Dinoroar DSP with my main colours being Old Olive and Mango Melody.

I wanted some background stamping that mimicked the repetitive pattern of the DSP and chose the little background stamps from Praiseworthy Prose – they are pretty cute! This set is available as a bundle with the alphabet dies that I also used for the title.

For extra decoration, I cut some circles and some rings using the Layering Circle dies to replicate the pattern in the DSP. I am more used to making a feature of a single photo, so scrapping 4 was a challenge for me but I’m pretty pleased the way it turned out.

Using the fabulous Peacock Foil (which contains Pretty Peacock and Old Olive – both in the DSP!) was just  enough bling for this double page layout.  Any more and it would have been too busy for me.

I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of this month’s challenge.  Do hop along to Sherry Roth to see how she chose to create her layout this month and of course, please do hop around us all.

I love how you used the challenge in a couple different ways – the subject and as a 2-page layout! And that dsp is perfect. Love it!
