This week at The Global Design Project, it’s a fabulous colour challenge. I admit it took me a while to think what I was going to do with these colours. Then suddenly it came to me and I decided to use the brand new Artisan Textures stamp set together with Love What You Do.
Here is what I created.
My starting point was the Beautiful Share What you Love Speciality DSP. I love this striped pattern and had yet to create with it. It’s such a fun pattern and so different to the floral images – there really is something for everyone in this DSP.
Tips and Tricks for my Artisan Textures Challenge Card
- As I mentioned I started with the DSP and cut my Whisper White Panel smaller so that it was more visible behind.
- I decided I wanted my sentiment on a raised die-cut, so I stamped the Artisan Textures in the three challenge colours behind where the die-cut would be positioned. I wasn’t sure about having red as a dominant colour – I didn’t want it to look like someone had been shot lol!! So I used the smaller lined stamp for Real Red
- I cut 2 small lengths of the Rich Razzleberry ribbon as an embellishment behind the die-cut
- Finally I used the Rich Razzleberry Share What you Love Artisan Pearls as a touch of bling – every card needs some bling!
I hope you feel inspired by today’s project to get out your supplies and get creating! Do head back to the Global Design Project to see what everyone else has come up with in these colours. There will be a wealth of ideas.
As always, here is a list of everything I’ve used in today’s project. Remember to use my current Rainbow Rewards hostess code when making a purchase and I will send you a free gift in the post at the end of the month.
