This week’s challenge at the Global Design project is a Sketch Challenge. I cracked open Animal Outing for the first time, it’s a great set and I can’t wait to get the coordinating DSP. I love the font and wanted to use the ‘Welcome’ for a brand new team member who just joined my third level – welcome Catherine!
Here is my take on this week’s sketch…
I’ve used two gorgeous new greens; a base in Shaded Spruce (my current favourite) and some accents in the brand new in-colour, Call me Clover. Both equally gorgeous!
Tips and Tricks for my Animal Outing Challenge Card
- The original sketch featured a vertical banner but I’ve substituted the cutest giraffe ever from Animal Outing as my banner! I’ve coloured him in with the watercolour pencils and blended the colour with the Blender pens
- As a feature, I’ve used the Petal Burst Dynamic Embossing folder for some added texture and because it matched well with the leaves from Animal Outing.
- I was lucky enough to attend Centre Stage at our April Onstage gathering in Telford. One of our gifts was the In-Colour markers so my leaves are coloured in with Call Me Clover and Crumb Cake.
I hope you like todays card, do hop over to the Global Design Project page to view some other takes on this week’s challenge sketch.
