Welcome to the first Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop of 2020! Already we are thinking ahead to Valentines Day on February 14th – or are we? Our theme of Hearts of Friendship is pretty vague and can mean all sorts of things. If you’ve arrived from Tamara’s Blog, you will, no doubt, have loved how she interpreted the theme and fingers crossed, you love my Label me Bold Valentines too!
Whilst my card is in typical Valentines colours, I feel the vague sentiment could be adapted for anyone you feel inspired to send this card to. This card could easily be used for Valentines, for a friend who is down and needs cheering up or simply just to send someone you would love to smile.
Both the hearts and the sentiment come from the fab ‘Label Me Bold‘ from our new Mini Catalogue. Jasmin Schulze, one of my fellow demonstrators from Germany, inspired this fab stamp set. The abstract designs coupled with the label style font can be so striking and so it’s fast becoming my go-to set! I honestly think Label Me Bold is the perfect addition to your collection and am so glad I added it to my basket on my first order as I have used it so many times already.
Tips and Tricks for my Label Me Bold Valentines
- I’ve kept this card really simple and just used two ink colours, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade.
- There is just a hint of Flirty Flamingo in a layer underneath the stamped piece. If you didn’t have Flirty Flamingo card stock, you could always run the edges of your white piece through your ink pad to get a similar effect.
- I felt a little dimension was needed for such a simple card and so everything is popped up on dimensionals
- The final touch was a tiny bow in Whisper White Twine underneath the sentiment.
I do hope you liked today’s card, it’s definitely what we would call #simplestamping as no high tech equipment needed here, just good old stamps and ink!
