Welcome to the Let’s Get Hopping May Blog Hop. This month, we set ourselves the challenge of making a set of cards that could be given as a gift. I made something yesterday but I really wasn’t satisfied with my project. Being really pushed for time, I had literally a 15 minute window to change my project or I had to go with the original one. I am eternally grateful for our Petal Passion Memories and More Cards with the Memories and More cards and envelopes sets. I had this Memories and More Gift Card Set made in just 15 minutes!
There was very little extra work to do, the cards just do all the work for you. I’ve rarely used my Memories and More cards to make actual cards saving them more for my albums but, seriously how cute are these? I’ve chopped and changed a few things, die cut some cards for sentiments and added some twine and ribbon, but essentially that’s it!!
With the Memories and More cards and envelopes, I didn’t even have to cut cardstock to make the card bases! All I did was die cut one of the smaller cards as a popped-up sentiment and added some twine – too easy!
This card was probably the most work – all of 3 minutes!! Here I cut a 2.5cm strip of a striped card and added the flower card to a Basic back base. I then tied some Powder Pink ribbon over the join. I’ve left this one without a sentiment as the flower was so pretty.
I used one of the smaller Memories and More cards as my focal image mounted on Basic Black. This was then mounted on a larger card, again with a Basic Black border – simple!
I die-cut these two cute birds with the Stitched Shape Framelits and added my only stamped piece of the cards from Special Celebrations. Similarly, I mounted a large card on Basic Black before adhering to the Memories and More card bases.
Memories and More Cards Gift Set Packaging
Finally, I packaged my Memories and More Gift Card Set in one of our acetate boxes. I added a belly band in Basic Black with some of the Petal Passion DSP. I do love this DSP and used it recently for my Onstage team gifts. I’ve used the retiring Lots of Label framelits to cut firstly Silver foil and then one of the smaller cards. My sentiment comes from the retiring Watercolor Words – such a great set for your collection. I added some of the flowers from the embellishment kit as a finishing touch.
I do hope you enjoyed today’s post, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the team have created so do hop to the lovely Jennifer Frost by clicking the arrow below.

The box was decorated separately (when we got home from the kids dance class – you can see the light was slightly different in the photo lol) but yes the cards were made in a 15 minute window while dinner was in the oven!!
