Stampin’ Up Onstage 2018 – Downline Gifts

By | April 17, 2018

We had a fabulous gathering recently for the start of  Stampin’ Up’s 30th Birthday celebrations. I travelled with six members of my team, the Aces and Diamonds.  We had such a fabulous time and really look forward to our road trips every 6 months thanks to Stampin’ Up!  I love making downline gifts and I think (and hope) they really liked their gift this time. It was a really practical gift – a little collapsible box to collect their swaps or for anything else once they got home.

I’ve used the fabulous Petal Passion DSP  – it’s fabulous just as it is in black and white, but some of the designs look amazing when coloured with our Stampin’ Blends or Watercolour Pencils.

This DSP is retiring together with the Lots of Labels framelits that I’ve used in the Personalised tags.  I’m also sad to see the In Colour ribbon go, but the fabulous Lemon Lime Twist is staying as an In Colour until next year.  It is such a vibrant zesty green, I just love it.

I had not realised that my boxes were as big as they were until they arrived and had originally planned to create gift boxes for them!! However, the way they collapsed meant they were too long to use 12 x 12 cardstock.  I instead made a sleeve and to be fair, as the sleeve was collapsible too, they travelled much better.  I’m not so sure the gift boxes would have survived the road trip quite so well… The car boot was pretty full!!  I might have had to put my downline, Terri, in the boot and the boxes in the front!

One of the great things about Onstage 2018 is we get to see and play with all the new products from the upcoming catalogue lunching on June 1st.  In order to make way for these fabulous new products, we have to retire a few.  If any of your favourite products are on the retiring list, I would encourage you to get them sooner rather than later – they may not be around for long.

You can find all the products retiring from the Spring Summer catalogue here

And you can find all the products retiring from the Annual catalogue here.

You may notice that all our ink pads are on the retiring list.  If you are on my mailing list, you will already have received news about this. This is because we have slightly changed the formula of our ink (NOT the colour) and we also changed the style of our ink pad cases (they now stack, YAY!!).  As a result we have retired the entire range, some of the colours will still be in the new catalogue just in the brand new ink pad cases.  However, we have had a colour revamp and some of our colours will be leaving us at the end of May.

On 31 May 2018, thirteen colours are retiring.

  • Always Artichoke
  • Chocolate Chip
  • Elegant Eggplant
  • Island Indigo
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Pink Pirouette
  • Rose Red
  • Soft Sky
  • Tangerine Tango
  • Tempting Turquoise
  • Wild Wasabi
  • Wisteria Wonder

The retiring 2016-2018 In Colors are:

  • Dapper Denim
  • Emerald Envy
  • Flirty Flamingo*
  • Peekaboo Peach
  • Sweet Sugar Plum

*Please note that while Flirty Flamingo is retiring as an In Color, it will continue to be available as part of our core colour collection. So that is why the full count is 17 retiring colours instead of 18!

And if that wasn’t enough for one blog post, we have added lots of new products to our Clearance Rack this morning!! The warehouse staff are going to be working overtime to get all your orders out, but don’t delay, the clearance rack items go like hot cakes!!
