I’m so glad to report that England is finally enjoying some Summer Sunshine!! let me tell you, it has been a long time coming but now that it’s here, I’m finally feeling summery. Last night on my team creative challenge, our theme was ‘Summer’ so I created this card with the Sailing Home stamp set.
I loved this set and used it many times when it first launched. This week , it’s really simple card using just one colour of ink and a couple of simple embellishments. I used the Layering circle dies to cut a large circle and stamped the smaller boat in Balmy Blue to match the DSP and card base.
I then stamped a larger boat on scrap and die-cut it with the co-ordinating Smooth Sailing dies.
Finally, I added a Figure of Eight knot in Basic White twine and added a few little Epoxy dots as an embellishment.
Any guesses as to where the DSP comes from? Don’t cheat by looking ta the supply list?
Can you believe it’s from You’re a Peach!! We so often overlook the reverse of the papers as we’re drawn to the fun patterns that co-ordinate more with the Suite on the front. But what a way to use the reverse?! and perfect for my love of stripes!
You can see how I made it here…
I hope you enjoyed my Sailing Home project video – bloopers and all!!! Hooray for Live Video eh?!
I host a FB Live every Monday morning around 11.15am BST – why don’t you join me over there?
Until next time, happy crafting
