This week’s challenge at the Global Design Project is ‘Just a note to say…’ which covers a multitude. The two most common cards I make are either Birthday cards or Thank you cards. I decided to use the Thank You theme for this Share What You Love Challenge Card.
This is a layout I use often, in fact, I used it at my Monday class with a totally different look – I will show you that card in a later post, so stay tuned. Firstly my Share What You Love challenge card
This was the first time that I’ve used the DSP to cover the envelope flap. It is such a simple touch to add a real touch of class to your project and to tie your envelope and card together. I’m not sure why it has take me so long to get round to doing this, isn’t it fun?
This Share What You Love Challenge Card is full of texture, firstly with the embossed background, then the gorgeous Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon and of course the heat embossed sentiment.
Tips and Tricks for my Share What You Love Challenge Card
- Dry Emboss the Crumb Cake Layer with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder
- Add a 6cm strip of DSP and cover the join with the Rich Razzleberry Velvet ribbon
- Don’t forget to use the embossing buddy before stamping your sentiment with versa mark. Heat emboss with White embossing powder
- Raise the sentiment with dimensionals
- Adhere a 3 inch section of DSP over the envelope and trim to fit
Here are all the products listed individually to make today’s card. They will be available individually after June 1st but for now, they are available in three fab bundles. These bundles that contain some extra freebies depending on what bundle you go for – click on each bundle for more details.
