Stampin’ Creative – Pick a Pennant in 2018-2020 In-Colors

By | May 26, 2018

Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where we are introducing you the new Stampin’ Up! colours for 2018-2020.  I’ve chosen to showcase the brand new set Pick a Pennant together with the new 2018-2020 In-Colors. I hope you fall in love with these bright zingy colours as much as I do.

Here are the two cards I made using these gorgeous new colours

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop - Introducing the New In-Colors with Pick a Pennant

My first card uses Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch.  If I’m honest, this one is my favourite. I just love this combination of colours, it really packs a punch  – pardon the pun!

My second card uses Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch.  I’ve used the pennant stamp to stamp a border down the side of the card.  The tiny flower stamp makes a fab background – and don’t you just love the colour?!

Tips and Tricks for my 2018-2020 In-Colors Cards

  • To create my first card, I drew a 2 inch circle in pencil and stamped the Pineapple Punch shape first.  I stamped North, South, East and West and then filled in the gaps.  The Call Me Clover Triangle stamp was used to fill in any further gaps and finally some dots were stopped in Blueberry Bushel.
  • I layered some die-cuts from the layering Circles and a Stitched framelit shape in my three colours.
  • It was much much easier to stamp the letters randomly as per the first card.  I also like the effect too.
  • You may think my second card uses a new punch but no, it is the Everyday Label punch.  I sliced off a part both top and bottom to create a new shape – hope you like it

Do hop on round the rest of the Stampin’ Creative Team.  We have two guest hoppers this month, the lovely Heidi Smith and Ginny Harrell. Do show them some love as you hop around us all.

These really pop. Bright colors are always my go to colors. But you have more patience than I do, I could never get that circle stamped correctly 🙂
