Are you a ribbon hoarder like me? I started a little project earlier in the week and due to our un-seasonal snow, I have finally had a chance to complete it today. An In-Color ribbon hairband!! I do tend to stock up somewhat on ribbon and I love looking at it, but it needs to be a special project to use it. This has somewhat backfired for me as now that I’ve started my two daughters are placing their orders for colours I don’t yet have in my collection – I fear my ribbon collection will be expanding.
It took a little while to get into the swing of the weave, but once I got it, it was easy. I might try some more complicated weaves – once I get my new stock of ribbon lol!!
Here is the recipient of my first hairband. I know it’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of my first attempt and as she has worn it constantly since I gave it to her, I’m absolutely delighted.
Have you ever used our Stampin’ Up! products in a non-conventional way? Drop me a comment and let me know what your project was, I’d be interested to hear.
My supply list is probably the shortest ever for any project I’ve ever created. I bought some plain hairbands from Amazon. I used some hot glue to secure the ribbons at the beginning and end of my project. Apart from that, the only product I used was our gorgeous ribbon!
