Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – From the Garden

By | February 24, 2018

Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where we are bringing you Inspiration from the Garden. I have used all the L’s in my project today with the Lots of Lavender FREE Sale-a-bration set and gorgeous texture with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder.

You may well have arrived from Mikaela – weren’t her objects just gorgeous? –  or this may well be your very first stop, but either way you are very welcome with Eimear at Stamp in Colour, based in Wiltshire UK. We are delighted to welcome Charlet from Painted Orange, and Sandra at Stamp n’ Studio as our guests this month. Thank you very much for joining us this month ladies.

So back to my projects, firstly my card…

Lots Of Lavender meets Layered Leaves Card and Gift bag

I’m using a mix of old and new products this month. We’ve barely started 2018, but I know our new catalogue will be here before we know it and I wanted to use some products I haven’t had out on my desk for ages snd this embossing folder is one of them.

You may wonder where this gorgeous sentiment is from, and you’d be forgiven if it passed you by. It’s part of the very pretty Soft Sayings card kit.

To accompany my card, I made a pretty little gift bag with another product that has not been on my desk for a long time…

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet Dies to make a little gusseted bag, just by cutting twice, scoring the sides chopping off the taller piece and adding a ‘bottom piece’. I found it easier with this bag design to emboss the front and back using the same embossing folder for a seamless co-ordinated look.

Tips and Tricks for my Matching Lots of Lavender Card and Gift Bag

  • I was able to fully emboss the back and front of the bag as it was just the right size
  • The smallest rhinestones were just the perfect size for the berries. I used the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends to colour them to coordinate with the projects
  • I stamped with Basic Grey Archival Ink and the Basic Grey FREE shimmer ribbon was a perfect addition – all the better when it’s free!! It’s not the only FREE ribbon. It comes in a pack of three, you can see the other two colours on this project.

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects, do hop on to the very lovely Charlet and show her blog (and mine too!) some love with a comment, we all do love to hear from you.  If you get lost on the hop, the full line-up is below.

Details of all the products I used in today’s Lots of Lavender project From the Garden are below.
