It was our Regional Training Day in Telford recently and we have a tradition of swapping cards and projects at Stampin’ Up events. We make a selection of cards to swap with other demonstrators to exchange ideas and inspire each other. With the arrival of Baby Finn, I didn’t have time to make too many but I took part in a small swap with the other member of my Stampin’ Creative Blog hop team.
My base is Daffodil Delight with a layer of Melon Mambo embossed with the happy Hearts embossing folder. Then I have a layer of Whisper White sponged with Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. My hearts and sentiments from Hello Life are embossed in gold on a final vellum layer before few glue dots are hidden under the ribbon and sequins to attach it.
I did a second version where my second layer is Wild Wasabi and I sponged my Whisper White layer with Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight.
I received some great swaps in return, firstly from my downline, Caroline Thomas.
You can see we both used the same stamp set – one of our favourites. I loved how Caro used lots of words to make her own background DSP. In fact, it was this exact card that inspired my recent challenge card.
Here is another one I received from Emily Thomson using the fabulous Butterfly Thinlits and the coordinating Butterfly Basic stamp set.
And finally for today, a great card from Mikaela Titheridge. She has used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies and a sneak peak from an upcoming set…
I have more to share over the coming days, so stay tuned…
And don’t forget my fellow Stampin’ Creative Team members and I will be back to share some great projects with you next Saturday.
Until next time, happy crafting
