Stampin’ Up – Watercolour Thank you

By | January 16, 2015

A quick make to show you today.

Stampin' Up Watercolour Thank-you-001

Sometimes, when the new catalogues come out, we are so bedazzled with all the new stuff, we forget some of our ‘classic’ sets – ok two aren’t even a year old, but you know what I mean!!

I saw a version of this card by US demo Jodi McKinney.  I loved it’s simplicity but still felt it had a wow factor, so made it up as thank you’s for ladies who recently placed orders with me.

The base layer is Soft Sky – still loving soft sky – with a hint of Basic Black before the main event on Whisper White.  I’ve actually used three different stamp sets.  Firstly, Work of Art for the swooshes in Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Soft Sky.  I then stamped the Watercolour Thankyou on top in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  And just for a bit of good measure, I added a few random spots with Gorgeous Grunge in Soft Sky.  A few rhinestones for embellishment and all done.

I liked it so much that I think it will make it onto this week’s Mum and Me/Fast and Fabulous agenda!  So take it as a sneak peak if you are already booked on.

Hope you like it too.

Here are the supplies needed to recreate the card, but like me, with Jodi’s card, perhaps you can substitute one or two items or colours with something in your own stash.  Would love to see your versions.
