I made a cade recently for my daughter’s friends birthday that I thought would be perfect for the current challenge over at Inspire Create. Their theme this week is ‘Kids’
I used the fabulous Broadway Bound suite.. There is a great stamp set with co-coordinating dies and here is what I came up with. I think this suite is perfect for young and the young at heart in equal measure. You may want to pop back and look at my earlier card which is from the same suite but of a more monochrome palette. However, for now, here is my Broadway Bound Challenge card…
Tips and Tricks for my Broadway Bound Challenge Card
- I’ve pulled Lovely Lipstick, Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Black from the DSP and used these as my card and ink colours.
- My base is Lemon Lime Twist and my DSP is mounted on a slightly bigger mat of Lovely Lipstick
- I tied a piece of our new In-Colour ribbon in Lovely Lipstick and mounted a square of Whisper White which I’d cut out with the Stitched Shape Framelits
- Finally, and the piece de la resistance…! I could have fussy cut the party hats from the DSP but the framelits in the coordinating Broadway lights Framelit dies fits the DSP shapes perfectly! Whilst I enjoy fussy cutting, sometimes, it’s just great to have an easy option!
