Crafting for the Weekend – Quick and Easy Card Tutorial

By | May 6, 2017

I have a fabulous project for you this weekend’s Crafting for the Weekend video tutorial.  It is so easy, I can hardly believe it myself!! It also includes a little sneaky peek of a brand new stamp set coming up in the new Annual catalogue on June 1st.

I’ve made two different versions, the first stamped in Soft Suede and the second heat embossed in Copper.

So here are the details – three easy steps

  • Cut your cardstock in advance,  a cardbase in crumb cake, A4 cut in 2 and scored at 10.5 to fold book fold. Cut a Bermuda Bay mat at 14.3cm x 10 and a Serene Scenery top layer at  14cm x 9.7cm.
  • Swipe the Serene Scenery with the embossing buddy and stamp your sentiment of choice with Versamark.  Sprinkle with Copper embossing powder and heat with the heat gun to set
  • Adhere DSP to Bermuda Bay – I used fast fuse – and then adhere both to the card base with dimensionals

I’ve also got a video for you to show you exactly how to make it

I hope you enjoy the project and it inspires you to get your crafting supplies out this week.  Sometimes, I like to take my time on a card and add this and that and a bit more but sometimes, our DSP is just so gorgeous, we have to let it shine!

Which version do you prefer? The smooth Soft Suede or the snazzy Copper Embossed version, do let me know by popping a comment below as I’d love to know…
