Easter Blooms for Lets Get Hopping 18

By | March 7, 2019

This month, the Let’s Get Hopping team have decided to set a challenge of CASE’ing ourselves.  CASE’ing is a term we use a lot within Stampin’ Up and means Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit. This means we can take a design that we see from another demonstrator, and with permission, we copy or take inspiration from the design and make our own version.  It is correct etiquette to credit the original designer but of course, in this case, this was my design from two years ago!

I love the colours of Purple and Yellow for Easter  they reflect the crocuses that are still popping through at this time of the year. Updating these with current colours, I’ve used Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight and the very zingy Lemon Lime Twist.

Tips and Tricks for my Easter Blooms card

  • This time I’ve used a base of Daffodil Delight with a strip of the Gingham Gala DSP in Daffodil Delight.
  • Like before I used an Oval from the Stitched Framelit dies
  • I stamped several flowers and leaves in Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist and then fussy cut them.  They were then adhered round the oval shape both on top and underneath.
  • More than Words is a fabulous set and the word Wishes is particularly striking with the extra stamp for the lower part of Wishes.  I stamped the lower half in Lemon Lime Twist over the original Daffodil Delight for a fun effect

Great cards Eimear, the Easter Wishes card is my favourite, so bright and happy. That colour combo is so pretty together. I love that you used the layout to CASE but stepped it up a little. Thanks for sharing!

It’s tough to say which card I like more, they are both fantastic. If I’d had to choose one I guess it would be the newer version – I love how the colours pop. It’s a difficult question, you know…
