Let’s Get Hopping 5 – Celebration Time!

By | January 4, 2018

We have some fabulous sets coming your way in Stampin’ Up’s brand new Spring Summer 2018 catalogue and Picture Perfect Birthday is no exception.  When Jen announced Celebration as the theme for this hop I really wanted to use this set.

We received it during our Onstage gathering in April and I especially love this sentiment . It was used as a table decoration at our Silver Elite and above event and I’ve been drawn to the sentiment ever since.

For this project, I decided to go for a more unisex colour palette – plus I wanted to highlight a fab ribbon combo that is available for FREE during Sale-a-bration that just started yesterday!

Picture Perfect Birthday, Celebrate, Birthday card, male Birthday, handmade, homemade, papercrafting, Swindon cardmaking classes

Spend £45 and receive 1 x Level One Sale-a-bration product of your choice for FREE or spend £90 and receive 2 x Level One or 1 x Level Two Sale-a-bration product of your choice for FREE etc!!

This ribbon set is a level One product  – both ribbons are included PLUS another ribbon in Basic Grey (not pictured)!

I have also featured a brand new embossing folder called Scattered Sequins on my project – isn’t it fun?

Tips and Tricks for my Picture Perfect Celebration Card

  • I coloured most of my sentiment with a Basic Grey Stampin’ Write marker but highlighted the ‘You’ in Bermuda Bay.
  • The elements were die-cut using the Lots of Labels dies. I used the little background sprinkle stamps with Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral to create a colourful background.
  • I added a little twisting of the ribbon behind the elements and embossed the Bermuda Bay mat with the scattered Sequins embossing folder.
  • A final finishing touch was added by colouring in Rhinestones with the dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends.

Do hop on to see what the rest of the team have to show you on our Celebration themed hop. Next up is Verity from Pretty Little Button, just click the image below to get to her blog and fabulous projects.

Great card, Eimear! It’s so festive! I love how you folded your ribbon. I hope you don’t mind, but I may have to try that on my next card. Thank you for the idea! 🙂

Thank you, I must admit to using ribbon that way a lot recently, I think it will help a lot of people who are unsure of bows!
