Stampin’ Up Memories and More on a Monday!

By | July 10, 2017

It’s Memory Monday – my new theme!  As you may know Stampin’ Up! launched their very own Memory-keeping range called Memories and More. I have to admit, I had let my Memory-keeping slip a little bit, but I’m going to keep myself accountable by sharing a page or two with you every Monday.  In this digital age, it is so important to preserve our memories, despite being ever so reliant on all things tech, it really isn’t at all reliable when it come to our memories (I have the lost photos to prove it) – so who’s with me?!  Let’s get those photos off our devices and into an album to share with our nearest and dearest or even just for ourselves!

So here goes, this spread is from May 2016 – told you I was behind!

Memories and More Perfect Days Eimear Carvill Stampincolour

This was from my daughter’s First Communion which was such a lovely family and community day, too special to stay on my phone. I felt the fresh colours from our ‘Perfect Days’ Memories and More card collection suited the day really well.

Here are a couple of close-ups

Memories and More Tips and Tricks

  • We have so many dies and punches in our arsenal – I managed to make a chalice and host from the Frozen Treat thinlits and the 1 inch punch! There is no end of embellishments you can create with your own supplies.
  • I spent a few evenings in my kitchen playing with the new Memories and More range and I didn’t have access to all my supplies  – I wanted to have a title and rather than go get the rest of my dies, (laziness, I know!!) I just cut down a 3 x 4 card, a ready decorated piece! Genius – if I say so myself!
  • Don’t feel you have to only use a photo the size of the slot, just chop your photo to fit over the number of slots you like – here I’ve chopped one of myself and my daughter in half.  To be honest, if I were doing it again, I would have avoided slicing through her eyes!! But too late now, lol!!

Are you ready to get started?

I hope I’ve encouraged you to get some photos off your phone and into an album.  It’s so easy and quick to do, you just need your photos, a card pack and some pocket pages. Apart from the ‘chalice’, everything I’ve used to decorate the pages is within the card collection itself.

I use FREEPRINTS to print my photos (UK) and can highly recommend them for price and quality – at least 45 Free Prints a month with reasonable postage charges – extra prints are pretty reasonable too. Use the code ecarvill1 if you would like to get started with FREEPRINTS.

Here is everything I’ve used in this week’s spread aside from the photos.  Don’t forget our Christmas in July promotion and every purchase over £45 counts for our Bonus Days promotion where you earn vouchers to spend in August.

Pop back next week for some more Memory-keeping ideas.

Until then, happy crafting

Eimear
