Stars are Shining for Christmas

By | November 29, 2021

I have taken forever to blog this card and it’s one of my favourites!  It uses the gorgeous stamp set Stars are Shining, which for one reason and another, I have only just opened. There is also a co-ordinating punch but I haven’t used it here.  This bundle will retire with the end of the catalogue and will be available withy a whopping 50% off when the retirement list comes out on December 1st – don’t miss this incredible bargain!

The top layer is actually Pacific Point but after heat embossing my stars in silver, I have used a blending brush and Night of Navy ink to colour the sky.  If you leave the area around the stars uncoloured, it gives the illusion of the stars actually shining in the night sky.

I found the perfect embellishment for this card with Clear and Frosted Epoxy Droplets – don’t they make the perfect twinkling stars?

This was a card I created on a recent Facebook Live, you can catch it here.  You can also see my original version which used Balmy Blue instead of Pacific Point and has a whole other feel to it.
