Oh – Triple Time Stamping Tutorial – try and say that three times in a row!!!
You may have seen the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop this weekend where I shared a Flamingo card using the Triple Time technique. I promised to share the technique with you in case you were not sure how to achieve this look. It really is quite simple.
Firstly, cut your three layers – for my card my three layers measured
Largest Layer: 143mm x 100mm
Middle Layer: 118mm x 78mm
Smallest Layer: 920mm x 480m
Adhere them temporarily so they do not slide around when you are stamping.
Prepare the stamps and inks you wish to use and then stamp over the three layers.
Don’t worry, if the images are not totally crisp where the layers meet, as you can see from my photo below – any little imperfections like this will be covered by your matting layers.
I stamped the Flamingo on the smallest layer and then separated the three Whisper White layers before adhering each layer to the coloured cardstock of your choice – I used Melon Mambo.
My Melon Mambo layers measured just 5 mm larger, so
Standard a5 card base
middle layer : 123mm x 83mm
smallest layer : 97mm x 53mm
I covered some minor imperfections with strategically placed rhinestones and added my banner and fussy-cut Flamingo! Admittedly, I hadn’t made 5 bloopers, but we always tend to embellish in threes or fives!
