I’ve been scrapping with my friend again and this time I wanted to create an Epic Celebrations Scrapbook page to scrap a fab Chic concert from last summer. My sister treated me to the gig in London and we had Triple A passes – hence the close-up photo of Nile Rodgers! No long lens needed, we were that close!
I followed a sketch – well, let’s rephrase that…
when I say followed, I realised half way through I had changed the orientation in error and couldn’t change it back again as I had already cut my scraps and the Fresh Fig Stars DSP from Myths and Magic could not be turned. Being frugal, I didn’t want to cut any more so just went with it…. I’m quite pleased with the result.
My favourite bit has to be the clear embossed guitars from Epic Celebrations, here is a better view.
If you want to see how I created the album, click here to see the card I made using a similar album feature – I’ve even made a video for you.
I created a little journaling tag to hide behind the photo so I can write all about the fabulous gig and the fun we had backstage schmoozing with the band!
Tips and Tricks to creating my Epic Celebrations Scrapbook page
- Cut all your DSP and cardpieces and advance and lay them out before you stuck them down. This way, you can play about its the order and spacing until you’re happy with the overall look and feel of your page.
- Don’t forget your embossing buddy before you clear emboss the guitars – the embossing powder will only stick where you want it.
- Finally, if you don’t want your journaling on show, or you don’t feel it adds to your page, just create a tag to slide out from behind your photo
Here are all the products I used to create my page. Don’t forget you can add the Epic Celebrations set in either wood or clear for FREE to a £45 order
