Today I’ve taken part in a Video Hop with the Stamp Around UK team. We are a group of UK demonstrators who all share a love of paper crafting and sharing our creations via Youtube. Our theme this month is DSP (Designer Series Paper) and I’ve decided to show you a couple of projects showcasing the Playing with Patterns DSP. This is a bright and funky collection of 48 sheets of 6×6 inch papers.
I’m quite used to using DSP in my cards, either as a full card front or as an accent, but with these projects I wanted to show you how to use the DSP in a slightly different way.
I’ve taken my Stitched Star Framelits and created a pattern on my card front by using various sizes of Stars – it’s something you could do easily with other punched-out shapes, or circles, squares or the new triangles too.
I wanted to make a fully co-ordinated gift set so I have decorated my envelope flap. I’ve also made a matching gift box decorated again with the Playing with Patterns DSP. The 6 x 6 paper is a little short to decorate our standard C6 envelopes (UK) but works well with our Notecards.
Enjoy the video and I hope it encourages you to be creative with your DSP. You will find the links to hop on to everyone in the description of the video. Do hop around us all as there will be some fabulous project inspiration as always.
