Stampin’ Creative Hold on to Hope Mini Pizza Box for Easter

By | March 31, 2018

Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog hop where we are cooking up a storm for the Easter weekend.  You are very welcome, here with Eimear at Stamp in Colour.  I am a demonstrator in Wiltshire, just outside Swindon and I do love to bake as well as craft with paper.  Having said that, I would love to take credit for the bake in my Hold on to Hope Pizza Box project today, but I’m afraid I have to admit I bought it!! I could pretend as you can’t see me blushing and crossing my fingers out of view, but I hate lying to you.

I’ve used the mini pizza boxes for my Easter gift box as they are food safe. Slide the belly band off to reveal one of my favourite Easter bakes – the Hot Cross Bun – best toasted with melted butter and maybe a a touch of marmalade!

I just love the Hold on to Hope bundle with these little boxes.  Of course Easter is a great time to use this bundle, but change the colours and you could use these little decorated boxes for personalised favours at Christenings or First Communions. The Hold on to Hope bundle is such a gorgeous bundle and also perfect for Sympathy cards  –  I think it would make a perfect addition to your stamp and die collection.  Purchase this today and you could get the gorgeous DSP used as the belly band for free!

Tips and Tricks for my Hold on to Hope Mini Pizza Box

  • The box measures 3.5 inches square and 1 inch deep – so my 4 sides were covered in 3.25 inches x .75 inches and then another layer in Whisper White stamped with the flower image from Hold on to Hope in Pear Pizazz.
  • I wrapped by belly band from the Springtime Foils around the Hold on to Hope Mini Pizza Box just so I didn’t have sharp crease lines and secured it with Fast Fuse.
  • The flowers were stamped in versa mark on vellum, embossed in silver and then die-cut with the co-ordinating dies in the bundle.
  • I also cut one of the gorgeous crosses in Vellum and another in gold foil to lay on top – sometimes gold and silver just work together!

I love the mixed metallics, vellum and embossed details – just gorgeous. Add a hot cross bun and I’m in heaven! Although now I want a hot cross bun! x

Gorgeous project … and fab idea with the embossed leaves on vellum! I do love a hot cross bun and whilst I do like marmalade …. combining the two is perplexing me! 🙂

I love all the delicate details on this (as well as the hot cross bun) – the stacked crosses and the heat embossed vellum especially. I always forget about vellum – thanks for the reminder. Liz xx
