Glitter and Glamour with Approaching Perfection

By | February 25, 2021

It’s the final Thursday of the month, so it must mean it’s time for the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop! This month our theme is Glitter and Glamour and I must admit I was first stumped. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I spied one of our Sale-a-bration sets, Approaching Perfection, that was out on my desk and decided to make a couple of very glamorous Birthday cards.

Despite the decadent use of gold embossing, these cards are incredibly simple.  I have just taken 2 of the image stamps; the balloon and the candles and stamped them repeatedly in Versamark before heat embossing in gold.

My candles are stamped and embossed on a separate panel which is raised over the originl card, with a small edging of gold foil.

Finally I’ve used a Stitched Oval die cut for my greeting – which is also from the same Approaching Perfection Sale-a-bration stamp set.

I have ‘straddled’ the panel with this die-cut, so half of it is raised with dimensionals and the other half is flat to the panel.

These cards came together so quickly and I honestly can’t decide if I prefer the black or the white version. What do you think? Which is your favourite?

Do hop around the rest of the team today to see how they’ve interpreted this month’s theme. you will be sure to be inspired with their projects.
