It’s the last Thursday of the month, so that can only mean one thing…. it’ time for the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where our theme this month is Summer Sunshine. You may have come straight from Tamara’s blog, or this may well be your first stop, either way your’e very welcome. Back to my card, there is one set in my collection that screams Summer Sunshine and that’s Sunny Splash, so that’s what I used today!
I bought this set, primarily due to my new-found love of wild swimming. Not really sure why it’s ‘wild’ swimming – 20 or 30 years ago before there were gyms left, right and centre, it would just have been swimming, but I digress! Anyway, this set is perfect for any swimming-related card so it had to pop into my collection as soon as I saw it.
With the slightly vintage look of the swimsuits, I wanted to create a synchronised swimming look to my card. It reminds me of those old films where the girls would do swimming displays complete with fabulous swim hats!
I used Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight to really add to that Summer vibe. And a day on the beach would not be complete without a Summer Cocktail or Mocktail!
I added in a cocktail from Nothing’s Better Than. I’ve coloured it in with Watercolour Pencils as I discovered I don’t have Melon Mambo in my Blends Collection – must remedy that!!
