Wishing you Well for Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop

By | September 29, 2018

We have a fabulous theme this month, where we are creating non-traditional Christmas cards – this could either be in stamp choice or colour choice.  I went for colour and have, in the words of Elsa, Let it Go by choosing some frosty colours and the fabulous new Wishing You Well stamp set.

Joining our hop today we have my gorgeous SU co-presenter from a few years ago – my younger and better-looking ‘twin’ Carrie Bates from the Crafty Nook and Renee Kohnke from Water City Stamping – do show them so love when you pass by their blogs.  I can’t wait to see what they have created as well as the rest of the team.

For mass production at this time of the year, I like to choose some simple stamping.  Wishing You Well is the perfect set for just that.  Its under-stated but so so pretty – I hope you agree.

One of the Wishing you Well stamps is the most beautiful bouquet of florals with a separate stamp for the blooms.  I’ve chosen the frosty colours of Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue.  There is, as you can see from the image, also the choice of a wreath – but where would the fun be for a non-traditional card using that stamp!?

Every Christmas card needs a little bling, so I chose to heat emboss the bow in Silver.  It really adds a special something to the card.

My top layers were mounted on dimensionals as while the card is simple, it still needs a little special effect as it is Christmas after all.

Do hop on to the other ladies as they will all have their own special take on this theme. I can’t wait to see what they have created.

As always, I have a list of the products used should you wish to retreat this card.  By clicking on any of the images, you will be transported directly through cyberspace to my online shop where you can purchase them for home delivery.

To my gorgeous stampin’ twin – what a beautifully simple card and what a coincidence that we both used grey and blue for our projects ! Love and hugs Carrie xx
